Reflecting a love of gardens and colour to make a bold statement in your home.
About the painting
Chatterbox Tuis is a vibrant, playful painting inspired by the constant movement and conversation of tui in the garden. Bursting with colour, layered marks, and rhythmic pattern, the work captures a sense of sound and activity translated into paint.
This is a lively piece — energetic, joyful, and full of visual chatter — designed to animate a space and invite repeated looking.

Bird Watching is a vibrant, layered painting that celebrates curiosity, vitality, and the joy of looking closely. Bold colour, strong contrast, and rhythmic mark-making create a lively surface where bird forms emerge confidently among abstract shapes and pathways.
This is a joyful, energetic work — full of movement, personality, and visual discovery.

Nature-inspired
Oil and Cold Wax Paintings
Layered artwork made from natural materials such as beeswax on wood, inspired by natural forms such as rocks and organic landforms. These works contain a sense of history and timelessness.
About the painting
The Seagull Has Landed was inspired by my walks on Peka Peka Beach in Kapiti where I see the busy seagulls swooping across the waves, landing on the beach and standing as though they are posing for photographs. In the background is Kapiti Island, which I often see silhouetted against spectacular sunsets. These memories came together in this painting. Here the seagull has landed on a rock, centre stage and bathed in light, as though posing for its moment of stardom.
Living with this painting
The soft, layered colour palette brings a calming presence to a space
Textural depth adds interest without overwhelming a room
The imagery carries emotional meaning without being overt or literal
Works beautifully in living areas, bedrooms, or quiet reflective spaces.
About the painting
The Catch of the Day was inspired by life on the Kapiti Coast, where fishing is woven into everyday life. From the beach I often see people fishing from the shore, launching boats, setting kontikis and, more recently, even using drones to carry lines out to sea.
My husband loves nothing more than a day spent fishing, and I love nothing more than fresh snapper for dinner. This painting imagines the world beneath the waves before the catch reaches the table. A snapper glides through shafts of light above a bed of green-lipped mussels, surrounded by the mystery and movement of the underwater landscape.
About the painting
Nesting was inspired by a birds’ nest found tucked away in our passionfruit vine — a simple yet intricate structure built to protect something precious. Using oil and cold wax, layers of paint are built, scraped back and revealed, creating texture and depth that reflect the quiet complexity of the natural world.

I am a Kapiti Coast–based artist creating bold, layered paintings inspired by the colour, movement, and energy of my garden and coastal surroundings.
My work is rooted in abstraction, using vibrant colour, rhythmic mark-making, and texture to capture the sense of life and growth found in gardens and my natural surroundings. I work from a garden studio near Peka Peka beach, where the daily activity of birds and plant life continually feeds into my painting practice.
